Abstract
Abdominal palpation when properly used is useful in minimizing or eliminating the blind spots of the lesser curvature of the antrum and at the tip of the instrument; it helps evaluate the pliability of accessible portions of the stomach and in many cases it will initiate peristalsis of the antrum. A new concept of the blind spot at the tip of the instrument has been presented. © 1949, All rights reserved.
