Abstract
The corpora allata and associated nerves were examined by electron microscopy in this study. The presence of numerous granules within axons is described and the relation of this finding to neurosecretion discussed. Morphological correlation is made with the analagous situation in the pars nervosa of the mammalian pituitary. The highly folded plasma membranes of the cells of the corpora allata are commented upon in view of the present knowledge concerning this feature. © 1960.
