Description
Summary: Introduces the variety of educational programs offered in Loma Linda University; with emphasis on the school's philosophy of education.
The following discussion of the film appeared in the Oct-Nov 1970 issue of the University Magazine Scope.
"I hear confusing rumors about a new film that is alleged to represent student life at Loma Linda. A former student who has seen it can't say enough in its favor. A church leader says it will destroy the University's good name. Will it ever be released, and, if so, can I rent a print? Russell Crouch Des Moines, Iowa
Editor: Focus of the film is on the spiritual growth experienced by many students in a Christian school. It is a fast moving and, we think, authentic view of what goes on here. It covers a lot of ground in 36 minutes and might be described as an "experience" rather than an "illustrated sermon." It is entitled: "While the World Dances . . ." Test showings indicate that no young person will walk out on it, though some old timers are somewhat shocked by its pace and candor. The University relations office is now booking it for the current season."
