Summary: This short film discusses the history of the Solomon Islands and Malaita Island, the largest island in the Solomons, along with the religion and customs of its people. Noted is the long standing conflict between the interior or "bush" tribes and the coastal tribes. This conflict led the coastal people to build villages on artificial islands they constructed on beds of rocks in the lagoon for safety. the film's narrator points out the living conditions among all the Island's people, sanitation issues, disease, and then talks about the Seventh-day Adventist medical missionary efforts, particularly those of Ellis Gibbons shown variously dispensing medical care, building hospitals, etc. The narrator discusses the building of schools and a hospital at Uru, and the training of local individuals who went back to their people to spread the gospel message. The film ends with an appeal for funds to keep the work in Malaita and elsewhere in the Solomon Islands going.

Sympathetically it tells the story of a people struggling against economic handicaps, disease, illiteracy and evil spirits. Dramatically it shows the influences of Adventism on a race whose language has no word for an omnipotent God."
